Send welcome letter

When:
Tuesday, 1 August 2017

Description:
Welcome to The Tech Zone! A list to discuss anything and everything to do
with technology. My name is Hannah Day and I am your owner for this list. My
co-owner's name is Christopher Hallsworth and he will help me run this list.
Here are some rules and guidelines you need to follow to remain a member on
this list. These will be subject to change when the need arises. But before
we go through these let us explain something.

The TTZ subject line stands for The Tech Zone, in other words this list. Now
onto the rules and guidelines.
Failure to follow List rules Will cause 1B either on moderation, or banned
from group.
1. The sharing or discussion of cracks or hacks are strictly prohibited.
This also applies to discussion of groups hosting such material. If we find
you are doing such activities, we will remove and ban you with no exception.

2. A note regarding strange subjects If at any time you receive emails with
strange subjects such as "iso" followed by random characters, this is a
known problem if you send mail using Dolphin's Guide software from certain
providers s uch as UK provider BT. If you wish to avoid this either change
providers such as Gmail or create a new thread. The strange subjects occur
if one replies to a message from Guide. This will not happen all the time.
For those who don't know Guide is a software developed by Dolphin to help
those new to computers get the job done without the need to memorize any
screen reader or Windows commands. It runs on top of the Windows operating
system and is menu based. We do of course apologize for any inconvenience
caused but this is far better than restricting users of Guide.

3. Advertising of groups other than hacks or cracks based groups are fine.
However these should be taken as information only. Therefore any comments or
questions should be taken up with the group's owner(s) off list and not this
one. Doing so would be seen as off topic.

4. Please do not forward to the list. Instead, copy and paste. If you prefer
to forward, please do so to me at

the-tech-zone+owner at groups.io

and I will be more than happy to take a look and approve or reject where
appropriate. If I do reject a forward, I will contact you to explain why.

5. Please do not cross post to this list. This can cause non-members to
reply to a message that has been posted here. By cross posting, we mean
using the cc/bcc fields and put the list in there. Warning! Persistence will
result in a permanent ban from the group, no excuses. You have been warned!

6. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, anything at all to do with
the list, please do not send your enquiry to the list; instead, please
contact me. Please send your enquiry to

the-tech-zone+owner at groups.io

I will be more than happy to assist.
