Perhaps you can check his settings by using
insert v while in his email or doc area
it brings up quick settings
Are you familiar with this area?

Subject: [Njtechdiv] Unable To Read .DOC & Emails?

Hi All,

I have been cleaning up my husband’s computer, getting through a ton of
email messages as well as Word documents. The problem is that when I open
and try to read using Jaws that both email messages do not read, nor do .Doc
or .Docs files. Does anyone have thoughts on what could cause this problem?
I don’t want to just delete these items in case there is anything of
importance that I should be keeping.

If I forward to my email address and read on my computer I am able to read
the messages, but it is a pain to do the extra unnecessary forwarding of
messages.

Thanks in advance.

Eileen
