I did a simple google search and there was much info there
typed in fit bit one registering bike riding?
Besides saying that it does work on that model
I got the step equivalents in case you need to add for yourself
Walking or pushing a wheelchair at a moderate pace: 1 mile in 20 minutes = 2,000 steps. Jogging or running: 1 mile = approximately 4,000 steps. Swimming: 1 mile = approximately 4,000 steps. Cycling: 3 miles = approximately 2,000 steps.

I hook my Fitbit to my pocket, usually.
Mine is a Fitbit One, so maybe it’s different?

Well, I ride my bike with the fit bit zip it does indeed recognize it
I put the fit bit on the top of my pants or underwear and it does a good job
Do you wear your fit bit somewhere else perhaps?

I just signed up for the Sports and Rec steps challenge. My Fitbit counts steps just fine, but is there a way to get Fitbit to register exercise done on a stationary bike?
The challenge website says that also counts as steps, but I’ve never been able to get Fitbit to recognize it. I’ve had to add it as “exercise” and make a calory estimate, but it doesn’t count as steps.
