It was slightly better on Firefox than on Google Chrome, but only slightly. I will put a call into FS on Monday.

I heard that it's a problem with the latest version of JAWS experiencing 
this problem with the latest version of Chrome and possibly Firefox. 
Freedom Scientific is working on resolving the issue after a user on a 
mailing list I subscribe to reported the issue.

No major problems with the internet at large.  The browsers are safe as
long as you keep them up to date.
