[NJTechDiv] Dell power weirdness

Hi Kevin.

I think it's some weird thing with the power adapter. Maybe Dell tried to
make it "smart". It seems to happen a lot, since, once I figured out what
to Google, there was a whole page about it. Dell machines used to be good,
but now seems like not so much.

It sounds like a power supply issue. This isn't normal at all but you can
try plugging it in somewhere else to make sure main power isn't acting up in
your place. Also see if you can free up some memory on your computer by
removing apps that you don't really use. If it is running to hot you have a
hardware problem.

When I plug my Dell laptop in, using its adapter of course, and I plug it
into a different socket than usual, sometimes it says that it doesn't
recognize the power source, and it wants to do BIOS setup. I have to unplug
the stupid thing and hope its battery lasts through what I want to do.

Anyone have any idea what's happening, and how I could fix it? Even a
suggestion as to what to Google would be helpful. I have no idea if the
dumb thing will make it through today's convention stuff while I'm in my
home office instead of in the living room. How stupid is that.

Thanks.

Tracy
