Try this:

Hit the Windows key to get the search menu.

Type printer, then go down to Control Panel, printers and devices.  Hit
enter.

You should get a list of printers.  Right arrow to the one you want to be
the default, then hit enter.

It lists the printer.  Hit alt to bring up a menu, then down-arrow to "make
default printer" and hit enter.

 

I only have printers on my Windows 7 machine, but the process should be
about the same for Win10.
