I personally close apps as soon as I am done with them, just like I close
most programs when I am through with them on my computer.. Plus, when apps
are left open on our phones, it adds to the draining of the battery.

I would guess some app is running in the background, and somehow the phone
thinks you are using it. I would close all apps, a couple times a week at
lease, swipe up two clicks to bring up task list, then you can close
individual apps.
