[NJTechDiv] wifi calling on an Iphone

I guess wifi calling would work as an interim measure, but it would be better to fix the phone setup. I thought Straight-talk was like Consumer Cellular or other low-cost options. We use Selecttel, which uses Verizon towers. I think their talk and text only plan is $15/month, similar to Straight-talk.

Subject: [NJTechDiv] wifi calling on an Iphone

Hi list, denise lesko has an Iphone but she can’t call out on it. She has a phone number and can facetime but if you call her number no such thing. Who ever got her the iPhone has set her up with something called stratetalk from Walmart. They didn’t set the phone up right for her. Since she has apparently a limited minutes, should she enable wifi calling? I’m aware that she can’t make 911 calls unless she assigns a number because wifi calling transmits not a phone number but data packets to a dispatcher. Will she be able to make calls with wifi and will she be able to receive calls from any of us using the regular cell service. Also what else should she do if she does enable wifi calling? Am not sure how to get her hooked up with TTJ she’s at her day program during the sessions.
