Hi Ruth,

When I purchase new iPhones, I always go to the Verizon store and ask them
to set up VoiceOver for me.  That's not cheating. lol  I'm decent with
technology.  Hopefully, the lady and her husband have someone who could
drive them to their wireless carrier's (cell phone provider) store.  I'm
sorry I cannot be more helpful.
