Hi Ken.

I wrote to the NLS EReader list, and the director wrote back about how you
can obtain the update.

Hello Tracey:

If he cannot get the cartridge from the library, then he should send an
email to nlsdownload at loc.gov to get assistance. However, the library is
responsible for sending the cartridge. If you write me off list, I can
insure that he receives it.

First off, is he absolutely sure he needs the update?  Has he checked the
version number on the unit?  If he has contacted his library and requested
the cartridge and didn't receive it I would call again and explain that he
never received it.  The other question is why can't he get on line?  Good
luck.

A person who's not on this list wants to update his reader, but is having
trouble getting online.  Can he get the latest update as a file and update
that way?  He requested one from our library, but it's been quite a while
and he hasn't received anything. 

We both know there hasn't been an update in quite a long while, but his
reader never got that update.
