Thank you for your time and attention during last nights tech call.
FYI, below find Rita‘s advice advice regarding photos and relabeling.
This contains the instructions for labeling a photo using the markup description method.
Last night we discussed that the two finger double tap and hold VoiceOver relabeling function has now been fixed in iOS 15.4/15.4.1.
Happy photo labeling and happy testing of sharing the different labels and captions.
Lori

>> Labeling photos when using VoiceOver:
>>
>> As of the release of iOS 15.3, there is a problem in attempting to assign a Label to a photo, in the Photos app, when running Voiceover,
>> This explanation was submitted by Lori F. And who is a gracious contributor to the iDevices listserv

>> First, the two finger double tap and hold gesture to perform the relabeling function is not working for me in Photos. This was using an iPhone 11 with iOS 15.2 or higher. I sent the information into Apple Accessibility and they were able to re-create the issue. I could get the dialog box up and put the text in and had to save and it would just kick me out to the home screen. I discovered this on December 30, 2021.
>> I also discovered that previous photos I have labels on will inconsistently read in the library view all photos.
>> There is the ability to add a caption once you have the photo in focus, the more information button is down on the bottom for more information and this is where you can enter a caption. Again, I did not find that voiceover would read this. In the all photos view of the library instead You have to go to the Rotor for more context and flick down for it to read it while the photo is in focus once you double tap the photo.
>> A third method consistently works, but it contains many tedious. Steps to follow should you choose this option. Here they are.
>> From the library all photos, double tap the photo you want to bring into focus.
>> Double tap the edit button in the upper right-hand corner.
>> Find the markup button, double tap it.
>> Flick until you find the add button and double tap it.
>> Find the description button, double tap it.
>> You should get a dialog box for description text. Enter your text. Find the done button, double tap it.
>> You need to find the done button to get out of the text description dialogue.
>> You need to find the done button again on this next screen.
>> Again, you need to find the done button to get out of the markup and return to the photo.

>> Note from Rita:
>> Thus the summary steps for adding a Mark Up label to a photO:
>> The workaround for labeling photos.: Remember to have the photo in focus and open, hit the Edit button, go to Mark Up, go to Add, go to Description, and one finger double tap to get the keyboard to open up. Once you have type the label that you want, swipe down to the Done button. There are two Done buttons on this screen. You want the Done button that is below. Then you need to hit Done again, and then Done again to exit the markup screen. So after you type the description, you need to make sure that you have hit the “Done“ three times to get you out successfully
