[NJTechDiv] Windows notifications

I get notifications from Windows, but I don't know how to act on them.  I
can go to the notification bar, and open 1, but not make anything happen. 

For instance, when I put in a CD, it asks me how I want to access it, but I
can't give it the answer.  What's the trick?
