Hello all,

I am nearing the end of my degree, with only a couple classes left
before I begin my observation teaching, followed by my student
teaching. I want to work with about 2nd grade. My degree gives me what
I need to get licensed in both Elementary and Special Education, so I
can work either in an inclusion classroom or in Special Education. I
will have to do both during my student teaching.

Any pointers you could give me regarding teaching with little to no
sight would be great. I'm pretty good at formulating lessons and
things, and I have a good handle on classroom management techniques,
but there are obviously certain areas where you might need to modify
things. For example, what do you do instead of hand raising to speak?
What about when kids are fidgeting or something, something that
doesn't make noise so you can hear it?

Any advice you could provide that might help me in my student teaching
adventure, and eventually in my career, would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from fellow teachers/aspiring teachers.
