Hi Kayla,
I just wanted to tell you a little bit about my experiences thus far in a
general education classroom to give you some encouragement. This semester, I
am in almost all methods courses and consequently I am in an elementary
classroom with over 20 fully cited children each day. I have taught numerous
whole group lessons and have had nothing but positive feedback from my
classroom teachers and professors. I have found that planning ahead, being
very organized, and being confident are crucial to being a teacher. I also
use my friends as my test students if I'm unsure whether or not an activity
will go as planned or how much time a portion of the lesson will take. No in
your mind you are capable and you will be able to convince others you're
capable too. If you have any specific questions along the way, I am more
than willing to help in anyway I can.
Tara
