Yes, all the things Andrea said are great....many of which I have done before with my students.  You just have to keep trying different things until you find something that motivates him.  
If you are unsure as to why he is bored or what causes the behavior, either you or your school psychologist should do a FBA.  That should give you some more information that can help lead you to a solution.

Have you tried noise cancelling headphones? Stress balls? Gum? Wobbly
chair? Bouncy chair? Bean bag chairs? If he accomplishes ______, he gets
game time (board games)? Give him walking breaks? Chill out area separate
in the room? You tube time (music videos)? If he's truly bored have you
challenged him educationally (higher level of course work)? Buddy
classroom? Some tricks I use with the kids on my case load. I have a big
bag of tricks! This is what I do all day long!
