Hi,

I don't know how much this will help but students engaging in violent behavior is not just a thing for autistic kids. I was asked that exact same question by a professor/superisor for my field next semester.

I'd imagine that the school has systems in place as to what teachers are allowed to do in these cases, and you'd follow that protocol. For us, we have to get the whole class out, and call to have a particular person who is allowed to touch the student (because teachers aren't), to handle the situation. At least, that's how I understood it, and they were talking about elementary kids throwing desks across the room, etc.
