Dear friends,

As you may know, Steve Kuusisto, a blind poet and writer, released a wonderful memoir about training with his first guide dog. The book, Have Dog, Will Travel, came out in March, and my review of it is live in the current issue of Wordgathering: A Journal of Disability Poetry and Literature. Here’s the link: http://www.wordgathering.com/issue46/reviews/kuusisto.html <http://www.wordgathering.com/issue46/reviews/kuusisto.html>

If you decide to read Kuusisto’s book, you will need your tissues! It is beautifully written and it will resonate with you as blind person, and as a guide dog handler.

Warmly,
Emily
