[NOBE-L] Jaws question

Thanks to both of you. To clarify, I do use Google sheets comfortably. I simply also benefit from grouping my information a certain way for alternate purposes in a word document, using only part of what this Google sheet contains. My district has 19 buildings, and the Google sheet is prepared by the secretary in the personnel department after people are hired. I myself also want a word document that puts the new hires clustered together by schools in a private document where I could make notes beside them to track problems they are having and services I have provided. It is just another document use entirely, but it needs some of the info from the Google sheet.

Greg, I will try all three of your suggestions tomorrow and see which one I like or which one in my jaws infancy stage of knowledge I can get to work! :-)

Grace and Peace,

Kathy Nimmer and Nacho

Kathy,

Learning curves can be difficult. I am experiencing some myself right now.

If I were you, I would use google sheets like other teachers, so you are not creating more work for yourself by putting it into word. Commands are similar to jaws commands in excel. You can look them up in jaws helps or on the internet. I am learning how to do this for my job right now too, so you are not alone in this.

Best regards,
Mikaela

Last year, I selected all of each teachers information in the row of that sheet, pasted it into a word doc, and rearranged it. Window Eyes allowed me to do that without a problem; it did not carry over any table features in the pasting, just some extra tabs that I could easily delete. However, when trying it with Jaws, the pasting retained the table format, and I could not figure out how to get rid of that table format. I could not manipulate the info. Four instance, the Google sheet has last name in one cell and first name in the next cell; even when pasted into the word doc, I could not figure out how to maneuver that information with any copy/paste attempt.
