Hello Everyone:
My name is Robyn Hughes, and I'm writing to you to please introduce myself.
I'm a Baltimore Ballet School trained Intro to Ballet Class Teacher for
NFBMD's youth program, including its 2024 Baltimore BELL Academy as well as
a new NFB-NOBE member with a profound visual impairment. Additionally, prior
to the pandemic I was a Museum Docent/Educator at the Jewish Museum of
Maryland for 15-years, where I also taught Baltimore BELL Academy students.
I have an MA in German Jewish History from Baltimore Hebrew University and a
BA in Jewish Studies with minors in Philosophy and Hebrew from the
University of Maryland, College Park. I'm Unified English Braille Code (UEB)
certified by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and am an
ACB-Audio Description Institute trained Audio Description Specialist. During
my graduate school education, I was a visiting graduate student at Harvard
University and at Hebrew University in Israel. I'm really looking forward to
collaborating with all of you and to being an active NOBE member!
Thank you very much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Robyn
