Hi, Unfortunately our academic program is being closed to any new
applicants. Once the five us graduate there will no longer be a masters or
doctorate program at teacher's college in blindness and visual impairment.
All of our classes but one on health education is in the classroom and we
had two one semester classes devoted each to literary braille and Nemeth
along with a hands onorientation and mobility class along with a month long
tech course that was hands on. Kristina

Hi Kristina,

I'm so glad you found your way on to the listserv. We do nearly all of our
communication outside of phone conferences on the listserv because we are a
state-wide group and don't want to exclude anyone.

I would personally like to hear more about the academic program you are
in...
Welcome to the group!

Kathryn

Hi, My name is Kristina Constant and I am a student in New York studying to
be a teacher of the visually impaired. I have wanted to get involved with
your group over a year but it appears the only way to do so is to subscribe
to the mailing list so after quite a bit of difficulty finding the
subscription information here I am. Thanks Kristina
