Greetings all,

As I'm moving from West Virginia to New York City I'm interested in what living arrangements you all have used that have been successful. I'm deffently looking for any advice you all may have.
I'm searching for a room to rent... I'm not vary keen on the roommate idea, but I don't have much money to work with unfortunately. I'm finding it hard though to find options. I've been looking on craigslist for possible options, but I'm leary of that. I know some people use craigslist successfully. I'm willing to go look at places perhaps after communicating with the owners of the ads. I deffently will not go alone, and there are certain neighborhoods I know to avoid...

If any of you can offer advice I would appreciate it.
