Tracy, I understand about having policies or laws or rules because a few
people presented our organization with problems and liabilities and all
that. It isn't fair, but, unfortunately in many cases, the laws we have or
policies in our daily lives are due to the infractions of a few.
I'm not going to tell you to sit down and shut up and I hope no one else
will what I will tell you and others is that:
1. If you don't like a policy, get it changed, and,
2. Along with that, present constructive solutions to the problems that
have come up in the past that caused folks to think a policy like this was
needed.
We have the policy now, but, at least in my experience, there are many ways
to solve problems or resolve issues. Until other solutions that we can all
agree on can be presented, we'll need to follow this policy. this policy
may be the best solution; it ultimately may not be the best solution. but,
for now, it will be the policy for New York, Nagdu, etc.
