I hope you all read this, since this affects NFB Business.

In June I joined my local Chamber of Commerce here in Brentwood, I figured 
it would be good to get my name out in the community, and am glad I did this 
not only for Echevarria Travel, but also for the NFB.

I know for many years, Assemblyman Philip Ramos, well he wasn't there, in 
fact he was the only one who wanted at the Annual Barbecue the Chamber has 
every year.

I was talking with Senator Brian Foley, for more then 5 minutes isn't that 
wonderful, I was talking to him about our bills, I had also mentioned that I 
had called his office and spoke to his aids.  And he was getting the NFB 
Newsline Bill confused with it being Federal and not State Service, and 
mentioned that this would not increase in anyway taxes for NY State.  He 
said he will look more into it and since he is not on the committee he will 
vote when it comes to be voted on.

And that anything we need to call him and let him know.  Also I met my local 
legislator Ricardo Montano of the 9th District, we spoke and joked and 
laughed for a few hours, nice to have my husband being from PR, a lot of 
schmoozing went on.

Anyway, I kept saying if Ramos comes to these things, I said I have known 
him since he was cop, and he was also in the same party as these 2 
gentlemen.  They said he never comes since the first year he was in office, 
they said he is getting to big for his britches. Which I kind of figured, 
since I cant seem to get appointments with him or his aide doesn't e-mail me 
back anymore.

So at least we have to friends in Government.
