[Oagdu] When and how to file a complaint???

Hi Deanna and all,
I agree that education is the key to educating the police on the laws of 
service animals   and the police need to be aware of the laws to protect 
handlers and their service animals. After all that's their job and I think 
going up through the   chain of command  is a good idea. I think we need to 
do some serious education  starting in the police .

For example maybe we as guide dog handlers need to go to our local police 
departments  and talk to a superviser and see if we as handlers can arrange 
and put together a time to go in and educate the police officers , 
supervisers  and any other law enforcement  about the laws in our state of 
Ohio    on service animals and the police need to know the laws that protect 
service animals and their handlers. If we can't count on the police to do 
their job than who can we count on then? Take care.
