[Oagdu] Flying Pig 5k

Hi everyone,

Every May, Cincinnati hosts the Flying Pig Marathon and I would like to see us form a team of guide dog users to participate in the 5K event. I have already signed-up (as a walker) and I hope that some of you may be interested in joining me. The walk starts at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 5 in downtown Cincinnati. If you want to walk, but aren't comfortable doing a 5K , you could sign-up to walk a 1 mile course. I thought that it would be nice to go to lunch after the event at a nearby restaurant in Cincinnati. Please let me know as soon as possible if you'd like to join my team; the sooner you register, the cheaper registration is.

Also, for the last few years, the NFB of Ohio has volunteered to help during the Flying Pig Marathon. We work at the BLT (Best Little Tissue) station, handing out tissues to the half-marathon participants. As it gets closer, we will be looking for volunteers to help staff the station. It's always a very fun and rewarding experience, and I hope that many of you can join us. The BLT Station will be on the morning of Sunday, May 6. More details about how to sign-up as a volunteer will be posted to the list in the near future.
