Oh, What a Day That Will Be
When you are going through the deepest valley of your life and it seems as if your heartache will never end–remind yourself that this world is not your home– life here on earth–is temporary! Whatever is causing your pain will end soon because Jesus is coming soon and will put an end to all sorrow, tears, heartache, and death! The words to the familiar hymn “Oh What a Day” by Jim Hill expresses so beautifully how wonderful it will be when we get to heaven. The words go like this: “There is coming a day, when no heartaches shall come; no more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye, all is peace forevermore; on that happy golden shore, what a day, glorious day, that will be. What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see, and I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace; when He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the Promised Land, what a day, glorious day that will be. There’ll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear; no more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there; and forever I will be, with the One who died for me, what a day, glorious day that will be.” So no matter what the devil throws at you, don’t be discouraged or even entertain the idea of giving up–because soon and very soon–we will be in heaven forever with our Lord and Savior.” Text: Romans 8:18, Matthew 11:28, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Bible Texts:
Romans 8:18 NKJV - For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Matthew 11:28 NKJV - "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV - And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
