Longing for Love
It doesn’t matter what country you live in, how rich you are, how beautiful your body is, or how famous you are–everyone needs love. It’s as important as the air you breathe or having water to drink. Without love, life is meaningless, hopeless, and just plain miserable. Sadly, too many people are looking for love in all the wrong places: drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling, toxic relationships, and an unending list of the devil’s enticements. But the truth is, you will never find real love until you give your heart to Jesus. God IS love, so without Him, it’s impossible to have “real” love. Jesus is a Friend who loves you more than anyone else possibly could. He doesn’t love you one day and then the next, stab you in the back. His love is pure, loyal, and everlasting. God wants you to have Christian friends who will love you with His love–friends who are loyal, dependable, and unselfish. Evaluate those who you associate with. Are they lifting you up or are they tearing you down? Are they there for you in the tough times or do they turn and run? Most importantly, are they helping you grow spiritually or pulling you further away from God? It’s important to be kind and friendly to everyone but prayerfully choose the friends that are close to you. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 13:20, “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” If you’re lonely, allow Jesus to be first in your life and invite Him to be present in all your relationships. With Jesus in your heart, you will never be longing for love again. TEXT: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Proverbs 22:24-25, Proverbs 27:5-6, Isaiah 54:10

Bible Texts:
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NKJV - "Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Proverbs 22:24-25 NKJV - "Make no friendship with an angry man, And with a furious man do not go, Lest you learn his ways And set a snare for your soul."

Proverbs 27:5-6 NKJV - "Open rebuke is better Than love carefully concealed. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."

Isaiah 54:10 NKJV - "For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed," Says the LORD, who has mercy on you."
