Quitters Never Win
When you’ve said or done something you wished you wouldn’t have, or even made a mistake at work that you’re sure all your co-workers are talking about–it’s not the time to quit and run! You might feel like the biggest loser in the world and be so embarrassed you want to hide under the closest rock–but that will never fix the problem or undo the damage that’s already been done. Running from your troubles is a cowardly thing to do and most certainly will not bring you peace, joy or happiness for “Quitters never win and winners–never quit!” Instead of running away–face the music! When you are humble and willing to admit mistakes, it is much easier for others to forgive than if you try and hide it or defend your actions. Ask for forgiveness and a chance to prove yourself, then, go forward with Holy Spirit power, claiming Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Before long, no one will look at you and even remember the incident–because they will see a “winner,” not a “quitter”! Text: 1 Chronicles 28:20, Psalm 28:7, Proverbs 14:23, Psalm 9:10
Bible Texts:
1 Chronicles 28:20 NKJV - And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God--my God--will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
Psalm 28:7 NKJV - The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
Proverbs 14:23 NKJV - In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.
Psalm 9:10 NKJV - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
