The Woke Church, Work of the Devil

Ten or fifteen years ago Rush Limbaugh made a comment that struck me as odd
at the time.  He made the point that when churches started adopting terms
such as social justice and equality of outcome, people should not walk away,
but run away from that church.  His reasoning was that this was the
beginning of that institution's move away from the word of God and replacing
it with the word of man.  I didn't understand it then, but I sure get it
now.

I have lived in Montana for more than twenty years.  I have been a member of
four legacy Christian churches.  I dropped my membership from the first one
when on the Sunday after 9-11 the pastor stood in front of the congregation
and explained how 9-11 was America's own fault.  This was extremely
disappointing considering I nominated her to be hired.

The second local church started down the social justice road as did the
national church organization for that denomination.  After having
discussions with that pastor and seeing no indication church leadership was
going to correct their path, I heeded Rush's words.  The pastor had no
interest in discussing why I was leaving the church.  The devil smiled.

For our third church we tried switching to a different legacy denomination.
Things were fine for a while.  When one of the co-pastors left the church,
there was a noticeable liberal shift in local church doctrine.  A group of
church members met for several months to discuss going or staying or even
starting a new church.  When the national headquarters decided to throw
Israel under the bus and to celebrate behavior that was contrary to biblical
teaching, my wife and I decided it was time to move on, as did many others
in our discussion group.  This pastor had no interest in why we were leaving
either.  The devil smiled.

The sad thing about each of the above experiences is that so many members
can acknowledge the church's doctrine going awry, yet accept it.  In many
instances the members have attended these churches all of their lives and
are willing to accept the infusion of the devil's work because the building
means so much to them.  Basically, they get caught up on the slippery slope
the devil loves and depends on so much.  Too many Christians and
conservatives have a hard time with conflict, and the devil loves that too.

Being woke and being a Bible following Christian is diametrically opposed.
Being woke is to accept Marxism as your religion.  The necessary goal of
Marxism is to do away with Christianity, and more important, the moral
values as taught in the Holy Bible. Marxism requires followers to rely on
anyone but themselves and abhors self-reliance.

Many of the legacy Christian churches in America are self-destructing in
their wokeness.  Church membership is declining and national leadership is
not concerned; is even telling local pastors not to worry about it. Even the
Marxist Pope of the Catholic Church is establishing policies that are
driving Catholics out of the church. Essentially, American Christian
churches are committing suicide.  And the devil smiles!

Unfortunately, the members that are abandoning their legacy churches are
falling away from religion in general. That is why only about 33% of
Americans admit to attending regular religious services.  As church
attendance declines, so does the level of moral values in a culture.  A
virtuous population is required for a successful civilized society. And the
devil smiles.

The Christian churches in Canada are facing a different kind of destruction
driven by hostile governments.  Unlike America, in Canada the churches are
being executed. And the devil smiles!

Wokeness, social justice, critical theory, critical race theory, economic
equality, and all the other high sounding rhetoric is being promoted by the
devil's disciples in America and Canada.  The Marxist Democrat Party, their
elitist minions in Big Business, government, the media, and their useful
idiot zombies citizens are destroying Christianity, as well as American and
Canadian individual liberty, while the devil smiles.
