Happy Father’s Day
Today is a special day set aside to focus on your dad and let him know how much you love and appreciate him. If your father is alive today, take the time to express your gratitude for the advice he gave and all the life lessons he taught you. Especially thank him for all the sacrifices he made just to make your life a little better. You probably had no idea that he did without many of those times just so that you wouldn’t have to. The long hours or extra jobs he worked so that you could have food, clothes, or money to participate in sports, music lessons, or special events were sacrifices he made because he loves you. A father’s love and influence is highly valued and needed in every child’s life. Sadly, for many different reasons, there are many children who grow up without a father. We especially think of all the children who are separated from their fathers because their military duty calls them far away, or even worse, never returned home because they died for our country. If your father has passed away, take time to reflect on your childhood and how he helped you become the person you are today. If your father was less than perfect, forgive him for not being the parent you needed him to be. For fathers currently raising their children, seek heavenly wisdom and strive to be a dad who is preparing your children to spend eternity with Jesus. The best inheritance you can leave your children is not your house, land, or big bank account, but it is to have implanted the Word of God in their hearts! And don’t forget to leave prayers in the prayer bank in heaven, for God will honor your prayers long after you are gone. Happy Father’s Day! Text: Jeremiah 17:7, Proverbs 23:24, Ephesians 6:4, Deuteronomy 6:6-9

Bible Texts:
Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV - "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.

Proverbs 23:24 NKJV - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.

Ephesians 6:4 NKJV - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NKJV - "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
