What Others Think
Constantly worrying about what others think is mentally and physically exhausting and will literally drain you of all peace and joy. It’s the fastest way to slide down into the filthy pit of unworthiness and self-loathing. All too often, people allow their relationships with others to control their happiness. As a result, they are constantly trying to please their friends, families, or acquaintances in the hopes that they will be wanted and loved. Some feel worthless if they don’t have a girlfriend, boyfriend, or spouse. Sadly, many have even entered into loveless marriages just because they didn’t want to appear unloveable. But don’t strive for the approval of people. You probably wouldn’t care so much about what others think of you if you knew how little time they actually spent thinking about you. It’s human nature to want to be liked and accepted, but excessive worrying can have a negative affect on your life. People will always think what they want to think, but don’t give them the power to change who you are. This is “your” life and at the end of the day, the only One you will answer to is God. Instead of being a “people-pleaser,” be a “God-pleaser!” Keep Jesus as your Mentor and allow Him to set your standard of living. Don’t look to others - look to Jesus! People will fail you, but God never will. TEXT: Proverbs 29:25, Galatians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 2:4, Colossians 3:23

Bible Texts:
Proverbs 29:25 NKJV - The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

Galatians 1:10 NKJV - For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 NKJV - But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

Colossians 3:23 NKJV - And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
