Green-Eyed Monster
Sometimes people are jealous because they are so unhappy with their own life, they become jealous of all the good things happening to everyone else. The green eyed monster appears when their neighbor comes home with an expensive car, buys a beautiful home, or gets a big promotion at work. Before long they get downright resentful, actually believing it should have happened to them instead. They begin to question God, demanding to know why they were not blessed like their neighbor. Jealousy is a dangerous, slippery slope! It brings misery, heartache, pain and even worse–it will separate us from Jesus! Bottom line–there’s no room for jealousy in a Christian's life! Proverbs 14:30 says, “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones." The Bible makes it very clear how God feels about jealousy. There’s no reason to envy anyone! God made each of us special, with our own unique gifts, talents and personalities and we can shine for Him–just the way He made us . . . for we are all beautiful in His eyes! Text: Galatians 5:26, James 3:16, Ephesians 5:5

Bible Texts:
Galatians 5:26 NKJV - Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

James 3:16 NKJV - For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

Ephesians 5:5 NKJV - For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
