Foundation of Trust
Every healthy relationship must be grounded on a firm foundation of trust, otherwise, it is doomed right from the start. There will be fighting, suspicion, anger, doubt, accusations, and eventually it will explode like an erupting volcano. A relationship without trust is like a car that needs gas to run. You can sit in a car, but without fuel you can’t go anywhere! Sometimes you get so comfortable putting up with a toxic relationship that you settle for unhappiness. But until you change your thinking, you will always recycle your experiences. You will never have real joy, peace, or love if you’re not grounded in Christ Jesus, for He IS love! If you are miserable and tired of the hurt, drama, and pain, choose to make Jesus first in your life and in your home. This won’t happen, however, until your desire to change becomes greater than your desire to stay the same. Pray for God to give you Holy Spirit power to change your life and help you to be more trusting and less suspicious, to be more loving and less argumentative, and most of all, to be more like Jesus so you can build relationships on a foundation of trust that only comes from God. Text: Proverbs 10:9, Ephesians 4:25, Psalm 40:4, Zechariah 8:16-17

Bible Texts:
Proverbs 10:9 NKJV - He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.

Ephesians 4:25 NKJV - Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.

Psalm 40:4 NKJV - Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Zechariah 8:16-17 NKJV - These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace; Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,' Says the LORD."
