Week of Blessings

August 8-13 was full of blessings! We recorded 24 new stories...and saw God’s hand working in many ways. Strong thunderstorms rolled through the area two nights in a row, leaving many without power. But Your Story Hour had the electricity we needed. On Wednesday there was another severe thunderstorm warning. Often during storms we have to pause recording because thunder is picked up by our microphones. We were amazed when the strongest storms traveled just north and south of us! 

Not only was the week stormy, but it was hot, too—and the air conditioner in the studio stopped working!  During morning worship we prayed, and shortly thereafter learned that there had been two cancellations and the repairman could come early. By 2 p.m., the AC was up and running again, and even more amazing—the temperature had remained mostly cool throughout the morning!

Other blessings included reconnecting with old friends (some actors have been recording with Your Story Hour for 20+ years), meeting new friends (new talent joined our team this year) and successfully recording new stories that will inspire children around the world!
