Hello all,
I am one who agrees with richard on the diversity
Diversity is a good thing and as far as I know we are all involved in the
chapter
For the same reason or that is what we should all be there for
Age, race, and everything else should not mater we are there for the blind
We have to be professional we need to set and show the world that we are in
charge of our own lives and we
Are just as capable as any other organization
We are the nfb we our blind and we are proud we all
Come from all walks of life some are very young and some old and some not so
old we all have different ideas
We should all talk to each other
I am not one for little groups inside one one group no clicks for me we
should all talk to each other not behind each other
I think Toledo has a wonderful group of people and I am sure we can all
learn from each other
I found out about the nfb from Barbara pierce I no she don't know it
But she changed my life listening to her words of encouragement at a time in
my life when I needed to hear what she had to say
I also listened to the brail monitor and the ohio buckeye that she signed me
up with
Listening and learning about the nfb got me back on the road to my life
So I am totally for the nfb and will do what ever I can to help it grow and
be herd
GO TOLEDO

Good sunny Saturday morning!
Hope all is well.? FYI regarding a raffle the parents division is
considering.? Ruth bought an extra "Proof Louis Braille coin" at convention
with the intention of using it for a raffle to raise money for our division.
It would be nice if we could make people aware of this via the list serve???
Her idea was to give out tix at Sept meeting...so it would have a bigger
chance of being successful.? Would you help out by making a post on the list
serve?? The tix would be the normal $1 each or 6 for $5.? What do you think?
Carol

Watch out Toledo state tuned and Robby and Eric you do need to talk. I enjoy
all the diversity of chapters and great energy. We all must understand that
if and when we grow there will be gaps in generations we still can work
together and please do not let differences take our eyes and minds off the
true purpose of nfb. Let's start working towards getting people to the state
convention and remember the theme this year because it will open the minds
of all. I will make it a point to add things in the membership meeting that
can address meetings and diversity of chapters.

Hi Richard,
You are right about concentrating on the work that needs to be
done.
Helping our fellow blind people and those who are losing vision
and parents of blind children should be a primary focus of our
energy. Of course educating the public is also very important.
Diversity is good. We just need to maintain a good balance.
This is sometimes a challenge.
Hey Richard what color cat would you like to match your clothes.
In all seriousment we should all be looking forward to a great
Convention in Columbus. Last year's Convention was great and the
hotel is really nice. I hope to see a lot of you in Columbus
Halloween weekend.
Maybe I should dress as a Black Cat just for you, Richard.
The Nature of Independence is really a good theme for this year's
Convention.
Have a great day.
