J.W. has asked me to pass along to you the very sad news that Michael Seay,
president of the NFB of Tennessee, died late this week. He had been a
student at the Louisiana Center for the Blind. Last weekend he was at the
seminar for state presidents and had then gone home to prepare for his state
convention, which is next week. He suffered a massive heart attack
apparently while he was heading down a staircase in his home. He fell and
broke his neck. He survived a few hours but did not regain consciousness. He
was a guy with an infectious laugh and a kind heart. We have lost a true
brother of the movement.
