Vince, if I had a couple of things go my way, I would have been a member of
the Miami Valley Chapter:
1. Wilberforce, (Greene County) is not the place to have an NFB or ACB
Chapter; Xenia is nearby. This was why I didn't have the auspices of local
people telling me about the NFBO.
2. I'm making up for lost time. I didn't have much advocacy then, like
I do now. (And Wilberforce and Central State universities are poor
schools; that's why there were no other blind students on campus!)
I'm sorry there's no Miami Valley ACBO Chapter. A city as large as
Dayton really shouldn't have an excuse.
I agree with you, Vince: NFB and ACB need to work together, finding and
sharing common goals. Don't get me started on H-R 3101: the Telephone,
Television, and Telecommunications Accessibility Act of 2009, in which no
one from the great state of Ohio has cosponsored!
Eric
Eric from Los Angeles! It's not how you win or lose, it's how you play
the game! It's not the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the
fight in the dog! Go Chargers! Go Dodgers! Go Misty May Treanor,
pro-beach volleyball!
