Subject: Resources for Legal Aid

J.W. Smith,

I work for the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and we are concerned that we may be under-serving people with visual impairments in Central Ohio. As you may know Legal Aid is dedicated to providing free legal services to those who meet federal poverty guidelines. I am trying to contact various organizations to get a feel for what Legal Aid might be able to do to reach out to people with visual impairments and what resources we should have on sight to cater to those clients. Currently we have an intake phone line and an online application available for potential clients to contact us when they are seeking our legal services, but we are afraid that those resources- or the way we advertise- may not be as accessible to persons who have a visual impairment. Any suggestions or advice you may have for us would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
