Assistant Director for Employee Accommodation
and Campus Accessibility

Office for Institutional Equity (EEO/AA)

The Assistant Director for Employee Accommodation and
Campus Accessibility will
(1) provide consultation to all campuses about
achieving and maintaining employment practices that are
in compliance with federal and state disability law and
university policies, including coordination of
processes and procedures for determining and delivering
reasonable accommodations for qualified employees with
disabilities;
(2) provides information to leadership and
outreach/education to employee and student constituents
in the areas of academic, architectural, physical, and
Internet accessibility to Ohio University facilities
and programs.

This position requires interface with and coordination
among every unit of the University and requires regular
collaboration, consultation, and training for the main
campus and regional campuses.

Minimum Qualifications
A master?s degree in counseling, higher education,
public administration or related field, or equivalent
combination of education and related experience is
required.  J.D. preferred.  This position requires
excellent skills in critical analysis, problem solving
and communication. This position requires competency in
handling issues in the complex areas of disability
compliance.  Five (5) years of experience in higher
education or other professional setting and three (3)
years? experience coordinating employee accommodations
and accessibility advocacy are required.

We seek a candidate with a commitment in working
effectively with students, faculty and staff from
diverse backgrounds.
