Subject: Massillon Museum exhibition for blind/visually impaired

Hello Dr. Smith,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Massillon Museum in Massillon, Ohio. We
are an art and history museum. As part of our summer exhibition, "Faces of
Rural America," we incorporated touch components to enhance the experience
for blind and visually impaired visitors, along with braille panels. These
components compliment 4 of the photos, a small percentage of what is on
display, but this is a new endeavor for our Museum as we have rarely been
able to include these materials in the past, but were able to do so thanks
to grant funding. We have not had very much experience working with these
groups and are eager to learn more about how to serve them better. We did
consult with a blind person on the development of this exhibition, and are
looking forward to having feedback from other visitors. We want to share
information on this exhibition with blind and visually impaired visitors so
they can access these materials while they are on display. We have
postcards, posters and workbooks we want to distribute to organizations that
work with blind and visually impaired individuals. Any recommendations you
can make would be appreciated. There is no admission charge at our Museum,
visitors are free to drop in, and free guided tours can be scheduled in
advance.

Thanks for your time, I look forward to hearing from you!

Take care,
