Hello Everyone,

Ann Williams, a Diabetic Educator and Researcher in the Cleveland area,
is conducting a research study to develop ways to better teach blind
diabetics to monitor and manage their own diabetes-related care. She
needs volunteers from Greater Cleveland to participate in classes where
they will learn strategies for managing diabetes without eyesight. My
understanding is that the main focus of this study is caring for one's
feet, though other topics will be covered. Transportation to and from
classes will be provided at no cost to participants.

Some of you may remember Ann Williams from her articles in the Voice of
the Diabetic. Please check out the attached flyer to learn more about
this opportunity.

Cheryl,

It was good to talk with you just now. Attached is the IRB-approved
Recrutiment Announcement about the foot care research that I am
conducting. Please feel free to distribute it widely within NFB. Thank
you for your help with this.

Also, when you speak with people, you may want to mention that I used to
write a column regularly for "The Voice of the Diabetic".
