[Ohio-talk] iPhone training

Hi Macy,
I think you have a great idea!
Why don't you post this on some lists like blind-bstÿahoogroups_com or blinattic%blindtreasures_com.
Just would suggest you ask for PayPal for payments so you get your money.
I couldn't do this with Skype because I do not whven use that.
Some of us would have a very long learning curve because we do not even use a PC.
I do love my Braille Sense Plus.
I didn't even do email until 2008.
I had a PC with Window-eyes on it upstairs.
I checked my email every two years with help.
I do think you have an idea, though.
You could even expand this if you learned some other things too.
You could even teach Skype, use of a PC, and even a notetaker or two.
You could even help people with equipment they got used such as a Braille Lite or a Braille Lite Milennium.
You might even help people with Victor Stream.
Just a thought.
There is a gentleman who offers these services on some of these lists.
The problem with some of this is that some people need to have tutoring via phone not online.
If you tutor anything like Eric you will be a winner.
He has always helped me with the things I have tried to learn.
If I had an Iphone I would definitely ask you to teach me how to use it.
Good Luck, this is a great idea!
Do not limit yourself to Ohio but take a payment type which is reliable.
Colleen Roth

My idea is that I would like to conduct one-on-one training for people that want it. I realize there are a plethora of resources to get you started, like books, online websites, etc. However, I feel that some people don't want to spend the time learning via other means. I am willing to do this if I get any interest. I would pay $15 or $20 an hour. I would either conduct training via Skype or phone. I don't mind doing either.

> As far as payment, I can take check, and also PayPal, though I need to get that set up. Check might be better for the time being.

> Let me know what you all think of this idea. I'm still working out a few minor details, however I think this will really benefit people. I can do something I love, helping people with technology, thereby also helping the affiliate in that regard. Everyone has been commenting on the fact that I'm a "tech geek". So I can be your "tech geek/teacher", if that makes any sense.
