Hi Carol, yes the Mainstream driver is supposed to notify you when they arrive if you're scheduled for door to door service. Some people are scheduled for curb to curb service, and in that case, the driver will not notify them that they are there and wait only there five minutes then leave. Also, if the driver does not see the person who they are supposed to pick up come to the door, they are supposed to call into dispatch. Dispatch is supposed to then contact the person's phone number and have them come out and let them know that they are there. However, Mainstream is very far from being perfect. Sometimes they do not do what they're supposed to do. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Annette

The reason I ask is that I heard the backing up beep (as Dusty says, the backing up van) and looked out to see what it was. It was Mainstream and he did wait at least 5 minutes, while I was getting Dusty organized and in his stander, and no one appeared to get on. There are at least 2- 3 people in my direct parking area who might have scheduled the ride and whom they might have been waiting for. So if someone complains that they either did not show up or that they were too early or too late, who did not come out for pick up? Just wondered. Any response to explain this to me?
