No we didn't. You are missing the point. No chapter voted to do this
because this is an individual person or person that happens to be member to
the same organization. My church is also assisting with this event. I also
belong to the same church. There are plans for different choirs and
musicians from different churches to participate in this event , just
wanting to help with the project. If someone wants to donate funds to a
501c3 organization for a special event, there should be no problem.
Organization do this for each other all the time. I know doing something
like this is new and different, but we need to get off our Dari errs and
come up with some new ideas to make funds for our chapter.
Understand?

Hello Everyone,
It is important that events be sponsored by Chapters and Divisions and that
they be apprroved by the Chapter or Division Board or Membership.
We can't just decide as individuals that we want to do a Fund-raiser no
matter how good our intitions are.
If we wanted to have a Fund-raiser in Toledo it would have to be approved by
the At Large Chapter and we would have to have a Paper Trail of Expenses and
Profit.
Because we are a Chapter scattered all over the State we wouldn't have as
many people participating.
Some Chapters do give Scholarships to individuals for Convention.
The NFB of Ohio has asked that donations for Convention Assistance be given
to the NFB of Ohio so they can be distributed.
I imagine that if a Chapter wanted to help some of xs' members with a
Chapter Sponsored Event that could happen.
DAN didn't vote on having a fund-raiser either.
