Colleen, thank you for helping Dawn.  As I stated earlier, I also
found the Syringe Support.  It is a large screw attached to the place
you rest the syringe. and each time you turn it once it will measure 2
units.  It goes up to 100 units and is less expensive than the
Count-a-dose.  If someone needed an odd number of units we taught them
to only turn halfway.  Both are available from Maxiaids.  Is the rehab
teacher certified?  I was not certified and don't believe it is
necessary to be certified but if she is certified she should be aware
of these devices.  It is very sad when an agency that proports to work
with blind people doesn't have staff that know even very basic
information.

I apologize for discussing this on this listserv and am sorry if I
should have taken this off list.  I believe the quality of services we
receive from agencies should be a major concern to all NFB members.
It seems there is a wide range of quality of services throughout the
state.  Is anyone else concerned about this?
