Hello All,
     I agree wholeheartedly that these materials MUST be made accessible. Being a victim of domestic abuse myself, I know what it is to not feel like you have anyone in the world who cares, who gets it. I know what it is to have difficulty finding a safe place to stay. Not as many staff are trained as we might think. Many shelters will refuse to take on a blind survivor. This needs to be remedied immediately.
     This also brings me to a point that I want to make. We, as Federationists, cannot turn our backs on this horrifying trend. I thank God for the Federationists I know who have led and encouraged me, as well as those who tried for months to find a safe place for me to stay. We must, if it becomes necessary, go insofar as to open our homes to victims so that they might escape the horrible situation they are in. 
One last point: It is possible to train ourselves how to stop this violence, if possible. I say if possible because I know from experience that it is not always possible to stop someone, especially if you don't detect their approach. It also may seem intimidating to a victim to try and resist, especially if the abuser is more physically strong than the victim or has a significant mental influence over the victim.
