Work, Disability, Mobility Management Transportation Grant Applications Now Available
Federal Funding Available through the Ohio Coordination Program, Ohio JARC Program, Ohio New Freedom Program
Applications are now being accepted for transportation grant requests for:
* Work-related transportation projects targeted to people with low incomes
* Transportation projects targeted to reverse commuters, regardless of income
* Transportation projects targeted to people with disabilities
* Mobility management projects, both local and regional
This funding opportunity is limited to projects serving rural and small urban areas, as defined by ODOT. Please contact ODOT to verify eligibility prior to submitting an application.
Federal funding is available for capital purchases and operating assistance. Mobility management is considered a capital cost. Projects' period of performance will generally be from January 1 to December 31, 2015.
Approved projects will receive grant funds on a reimbursement basis. 80% of eligible capital expenses will be reimbursed, while 50% of eligible operating expenses will be reimbursed. Applicants are encouraged to finance the non-reimbursed portion of project expenses using other Federal funding sources.
You may view and download program information, application guidance, and application forms at the Office of Transit website at one of the following pages (all pages link to the same set of files):
