Good noonday all!
Just wanting to give an update on my experience at the job center. I went in on Friday and worked with an employment specialist, who was very helpful and assisted me with applying for two positions. As we work together, I realize that maybe this would work out. She went on to explain to me that it was rewarding for her to work with me. However, as we work later on in the day, she told me that it really was not her place to provide one on one assistance. Then, she went on to say that the job center works with partners. I thought in my head, "here we go ". I knew where she was about to go. It was not a surprise that she brought up the rehabilitation service commission. For all the nose now, the name has changed to, opportunities for Ohioans with disabilities. I said back in my chair into the deep breath. I explained that I just stop working with them and perhaps I would not qualify. So, I told her that I will call them and open a case. I explained to her as well that I had the right to come to the center to work as everyone else did. She stated, yes I did. But, I would have to work independently. I asked if they had the software that could assist me for searching for employment. She told me know!

I have an appointment with rehab the following week. I will let you know how it goes! Please pray that I find the position before that point. I really do not want to get into the cracks with rehab and the job center.
