That would certainly be the ideal situation-if there were some kind of
financial assistance available to aspiring training center students.
I know of a number of high school students who want to go but just
can't make it happen because their state voc rehab won't provide
funding (this is across multiple states), and even some college
students who want to go but have to choose between paying for school
and paying for training.
Some programs I've been to in the summer, like one that trained me to
use the music software from Dancing Dots, offered scholarships to
assist with attendance. I believe when I went there and got a
scholarship they covered $750 of my $1,600 tuition fees. Something
like that for a training center, even if it wasn't as generous, would
probably help a lot of people who are just out of reach.
