Thank you. Lots of things are changing in the world of blind rehab. In
states like Ohio getting enough funding is the challenge. Most centers do
not have large enough donor base or have explored other options that may
provide payment for everyone. Not just those going to college or into the
work force. I hope solutions are found real soon. Blessings and Happy

 Hello All,
The NFB Centers are an Immersion Experience. It's not forty hours a week, it
is regular classroom experience plus opportunities to use skills and model
other blind people. I understand that would be hard with children especially
if you are the only caregiver.
NFB Centers were started in 1985 but they were modeled on the Iowa
Commission for the Blind under Dictor Dr. Kenneth Jernigan.
When everyone is learning together and the staff actually interact with the
students outside the classroom it makes a difference.
